1. About Old Corbett

Old Corbett provides wildlife tourism, safari booking assistance, accommodation, nature experiences, birdwatching, jungle walks, travel planning and related tourism services in Corbett and other wildlife destinations.

Old Corbett may provide certain services directly and may also facilitate bookings or arrangements with third-party service providers such as resorts, hotels, safari operators, guides, transport providers and government-authorised tourism agencies.

2. Booking & Confirmation

– A booking will be considered confirmed only after the required payment has been received and confirmation has been provided by Old Corbett.
– Availability is subject to the actual availability of the concerned resort, safari zone, permit, vehicle, guide or other service provider.
– Prices may vary depending on the season, safari zone, accommodation category, government regulations, taxes and availability.
– Government fees, park entry fees, safari permits and other statutory charges may be revised by the concerned authorities without prior notice.
– Guests may be required to provide valid identification documents as required by the concerned authorities or service providers.

3. Safari Bookings

Safari permits and entry to protected areas are governed by the rules and regulations of the concerned Forest Department or tourism authority.

– Safari zone, gate, vehicle, guide and permit allocation may be subject to government availability and regulations.
– Old Corbett does not guarantee wildlife sightings, including tiger, leopard, elephant or any particular species.
– Safari routes and zones may be changed, restricted or cancelled by the concerned authorities due to weather, forest conditions, animal movement, administrative decisions, safety concerns or other circumstances.
– Guests must follow all instructions issued by the Forest Department, safari guide, driver and other authorised personnel.

4. Accommodation

Accommodation bookings are subject to the terms and availability of the respective hotel, resort, lodge or homestay.

Room photographs, descriptions and facilities displayed on the website are provided for general information and may differ slightly from the actual accommodation.

Check-in and check-out timings shall be governed by the respective property.

5. Payments

The guest is responsible for making the required payment within the specified time.

Bookings may be cancelled or released if the required payment is not received within the agreed period.

Any applicable taxes, service charges, transaction charges or other fees will be communicated wherever applicable.

6. Cancellation & Refund

Cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the service booked.

Where a specific cancellation policy has been communicated at the time of booking, that policy will apply.

For safari bookings, refunds are subject to the applicable rules of the concerned authority and the cancellation conditions communicated by Old Corbett.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a refund is not guaranteed in cases where a safari permit has already been issued or where the concerned authority does not permit a refund.

Any amount refundable through Old Corbett will normally be processed after deduction of applicable non-refundable charges, transaction charges or other applicable costs.

7. Changes to Booking

Requests for changes in dates, safari zones, accommodation, number of guests or other services are subject to availability and the policies of the respective service provider.

Additional charges may apply.

8. Wildlife & Nature Activities

Wildlife tourism involves inherent risks. Guests must follow safety instructions at all times.

Old Corbett shall not be responsible for wildlife behaviour, unexpected animal encounters, road conditions, weather conditions or other natural circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Guests participate in wildlife and nature activities at their own responsibility and must follow instructions given by authorised personnel.

9. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to:

– Carry valid identification documents wherever required.
– Follow forest, wildlife and tourism regulations.
– Follow instructions given by guides, drivers and authorised personnel.
– Maintain appropriate behaviour during wildlife experiences.
– Avoid disturbing wildlife.
– Not litter inside forests or protected areas.
– Not play loud music or create unnecessary noise.
– Not feed or attempt to approach wild animals.
– Respect local communities, culture and the environment.

Any violation of applicable laws or regulations will be the sole responsibility of the concerned guest.

10. Third-Party Services

Old Corbett may facilitate services provided by independent third parties.

The terms and conditions of the respective hotel, resort, transport operator, safari operator, government authority or other service provider may also apply.

Old Corbett will make reasonable efforts to coordinate with service providers but cannot be held responsible for circumstances caused solely by an independent third party.

11. Force Majeure

Old Corbett shall not be liable for failure, delay, cancellation or modification of services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

– Natural disasters
– Heavy rainfall, floods or landslides
– Forest fires
– Government or Forest Department restrictions
– Wildlife-related restrictions
– Road closures
– Strikes or civil disturbances
– Epidemics or pandemics
– Technical failures
– Changes in government regulations
– Any other unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. However, prices, availability, timings, facilities, safari regulations and other information may change without prior notice.
