Walk Through the Historic Trails of Jim Corbett
Step into the wilderness and follow the historic trail associated with Jim Corbett and the Man-Eater of Mohan. The Mohaan Man-Eater Trail is one of the most picturesque trekking experiences around Corbett, taking you through a remarkable mix of hills, open meadows, forest villages, dense forests and riverbeds.
The trek begins at Katt Ki Naav, situated at approximately 1,200 metres above sea level, and ends near Bhakrakot, at an altitude of around 550 metres. Along the way, the trail passes through remote forest settlements, some consisting of only a few houses, before descending towards the forest and river landscapes.
A Trek Through Diverse Landscapes
The Mohaan Man-Eater Trail offers a constantly changing landscape. The journey begins across hilly terrain and open meadows, continues through small villages surrounded by forest, and gradually enters denser woodland and riverbeds.
This diversity makes the trail particularly rewarding for nature lovers, photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. With the guidance of experienced local trek leaders, you can discover the natural beauty and fascinating terrain of the Corbett landscape.
Wildlife & Bird Watching
The varied terrain provides opportunities to encounter different species associated with the region. Trekkers may spot wildlife adapted to the hills, such as Ghoral, as well as animals inhabiting the surrounding forests.
The trail is also an excellent experience for bird watchers, with opportunities to observe a variety of Himalayan and forest bird species along the route.
Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed.
Responsible Trekking
The Mohaan Man-Eater Trail follows a strict Leave No Trace philosophy. We encourage every traveller to respect the forest and its inhabitants.
