Cancellation, Refund & Disclaimer Policy

This Cancellation, Refund & Disclaimer Policy applies to bookings and services provided through Old Corbett, including Jeep Safari, Forest Rest House (FRH), accommodation, transportation, nature activities, birdwatching and other travel-related services.

1. Jeep Safari & FRH Booking – Strictly Non-Refundable & Non-Reschedulable

Once a Jeep Safari or FRH (Forest Rest House) booking has been confirmed, it is strictly NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-RESCHEDULABLE.

This means:

– A confirmed Jeep Safari booking cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled.
– A confirmed FRH booking cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled.
– No refund will be provided if the guest is unable to travel or use the booked service.
– No refund will be provided in case of late arrival, failure to report, no-show or voluntary cancellation by the guest.
– A confirmed booking cannot be shifted to another date.
– A confirmed safari cannot be shifted to another safari zone or timing at the request of the guest.
– A booking cannot be transferred to another person unless specifically permitted by the concerned authority.
– Any request for cancellation, refund or rescheduling after confirmation will not be accepted by Old Corbett.

By making payment, the guest confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these conditions before confirming the booking.

2. Government Rules & Authority-Controlled Bookings

Jeep Safari and FRH bookings may be issued through or governed by the concerned Forest Department, government authority or authorised booking system.

The availability, permit, entry, safari zone, vehicle, timing, accommodation and other conditions may be controlled by the concerned authority.

Old Corbett cannot alter or override rules imposed by the Forest Department or other government authorities.

3. Cancellation by Government Authority

If a Jeep Safari or FRH booking is cancelled by the concerned Forest Department or government authority due to:

– Weather conditions
– Heavy rainfall or flooding
– Forest closure
– Forest fire
– Wildlife-related safety concerns
– Administrative reasons
– Government orders
– Road or access restrictions
– Any other circumstances beyond the control of Old Corbett

then any refund or alternative arrangement will be strictly subject to the official rules and refund policy of the concerned authority.

Old Corbett cannot guarantee a refund or rescheduling where the concerned authority does not permit it.

4. Accommodation Cancellation

For hotels, resorts, lodges, homestays and other private accommodation, cancellation and refund conditions will be governed by the cancellation policy of the respective property.

The applicable cancellation conditions will be communicated to the guest wherever applicable before confirmation.

5. Other Travel Services

Cancellation and refund conditions for transportation, guides, jungle walks, birdwatching tours, nature interpretation programs and other services may vary depending on the service provider and booking terms.

The applicable conditions communicated at the time of booking will apply.

6. No-Show

If a guest does not report for a confirmed service within the prescribed reporting time, the booking may be treated as a NO-SHOW.

For Jeep Safari and FRH bookings, a no-show will be treated as a used/forfeited booking and no refund or rescheduling will be provided.

7. Wildlife Sightings Disclaimer

Old Corbett does not guarantee sightings of any particular wildlife species.

Tiger, leopard, elephant, deer, birds and other wildlife are wild animals and their presence, movement and behaviour are completely natural and unpredictable.

Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions, animal movement, weather, season, forest conditions and other factors beyond human control.

Therefore, no refund or compensation will be provided solely because a guest does not see a particular animal or bird.

8. Safari Route & Zone Disclaimer

Safari routes, safari zones, entry gates, timings and movement within the forest are subject to the rules and decisions of the concerned Forest Department or authorised authority.

Routes may be changed or restricted without prior notice due to wildlife movement, weather, forest conditions, safety concerns, administrative decisions or other circumstances.

Old Corbett cannot guarantee a particular route, location or wildlife encounter.

9. Safety Disclaimer

Wildlife tourism involves inherent risks associated with wild animals, forests, weather, terrain, roads and other natural conditions.

Guests must follow all safety instructions provided by the Forest Department, safari guide, driver, resort staff and other authorised personnel.

Guests must not:

– Approach or attempt to touch wild animals.
– Feed wildlife.
– Make unnecessary noise.
– Play loud music inside forest areas.
– Leave designated vehicles or areas without permission.
– Litter inside forests or protected areas.
– Engage in activities prohibited by the Forest Department or applicable law.

Any violation of applicable rules or instructions shall be the responsibility of the concerned guest.

10. Weather & Natural Conditions

Old Corbett shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, changes or disruptions caused by weather, natural disasters, floods, landslides, forest fires, wildlife activity, road conditions, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

11. Information Disclaimer

Old Corbett makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and updated information on its website.

However, prices, availability, safari rules, timings, accommodation facilities, government charges and other information may change without prior notice.

Information displayed on the website should not be considered a guarantee of availability or service.

12. Third-Party Services

Some services arranged through Old Corbett may be provided by independent third parties, including resorts, hotels, transport operators, guides, safari operators and government-authorised agencies.

Old Corbett will make reasonable efforts to coordinate such services but cannot be held responsible for circumstances caused solely by an independent third-party service provider.

13. Force Majeure

Old Corbett shall not be liable for failure, delay, cancellation or modification of services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, landslides, forest fires, government restrictions, strikes, civil disturbances, epidemics, technical failures, road closures, wildlife-related restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances.

14. Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for providing correct information at the time of booking and for carrying valid identification documents wherever required.

Guests are also responsible for complying with applicable laws, Forest Department regulations and instructions issued by authorised personnel.

15. Acceptance of Policy

By submitting a booking request or making payment for any service through Old Corbett, the guest confirms that they have read, understood and accepted the applicable Terms & Conditions, Cancellation & Refund Policy and Disclaimer.

In particular, by making payment for a Jeep Safari or FRH booking, the guest expressly acknowledges that once the booking is confirmed, it is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-RESCHEDULABLE.
